Description

Louis XV and earlier (through 1774)

FRANCE. Ecu d'Or, ND (1515-47). Cremieu Mint. Francis I. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details Gold Shield.

Fr-354; Dup-782; Ciani-1082. Weight: 3.36 gms. Obverse: Arms of France quartered with Dauphine; Reverse: Floriate cross. Though the central devices show obvious strike weakness, the peripheral legends on both sides are bold, and the coin is well centered. There are a few minor hairlines as a result of the cleaning but are not too distracting.

Estimate: $360.00- $500.00
