EL SALVADOR. Colon, 1925-Mo. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-64.

KM-131. Mintage: 2,000. A one year type coin struck in celebration of the quadricentennial founding of San Salvador, this near-Gem features a cobalt-burgundy tone throughout and presents the jugate busts of the conquistador Pedro de Alvarado, conquering much of what is now Central America for Spain, and current President Alfonso Quinonez Molina, ruling El Salvador with an autocratic flair.
