PTOLEMAIC EGYPT. Ptolemy XII Neos Dionysos, 80-51 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (14.12 gms), Alexandreia Mint, dated RY 14 (68/7 B.C.). NGC AU, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5.

Svor-1861; SNG Cop-383-5. Obverse: Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck; Reverse: Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; LIΔ (date) to left, ΠA to right. More attractive than is generally encountered for the type, this example presents a fairly well centered and bold strike on a flan of good metal.
