CAPPADOCIA. Kingdom of Cappadocia. Ariarathes V Eusebes Philopator, ca. 163-130 B.C. AR Denarius, Eusebeia Mint, dated RY 33 (131/0 B.C.). NEARLY VERY FINE.

Simonetta (Ariarathes IV)-28; HGC-7, 811. Obverse: Diademed head right; Reverse: Athena standing left, holding spear, shield, and crowning Nike; monogram to outer left, inner left, and outer right; ΓΛ (date) in exergue. Quite heavily handled, but well centered and all the details still visible.
