BITHYNIA. Herakleia Pontike. Dionysios, tyrant, 337-305 B.C. AR Stater (9.82 gms). NEARLY VERY FINE.

SNG BM Black Sea-1611; HGC-7, 500. Obverse: Wreathed head of Dionysos left, with thyrsos over shoulder; Reverse: Herakles standing left, erecting trophy. Lightly toned and somewhat compact, this is a solid example of a lesser-seen type.
