Description

AUSTRIA

AUSTRIA. Lobkowitz-Sternstein. Taler, 1794 VI. Vienna Mint. Franz Josef Maximilian. PCGS AU-50 Gold Shield.

Dav-1190; KM-3 (under Bohemia). Mintage: 300. One-year type. A lightly circulated example of this RARE issue that displays soft gray centers with some deepening around the edges. A couple minor planchet laminations are noted near the edges on both sides. A highly desired item, not only due to its scant mintage, but also because it is one of only two silver issues struck for the Principality of Lobkowitz-Sternstein in the 18th century. The Taler in this lot represents the larger of the two denominations struck, with the other being a 20 Kreuzer of similar design.

Estimate: $2800.00- $3000.00
