LEO I, A.D. 457-474. AV Solidus (4.33 gms), Constantinople Mint, 3rd Officina, A.D. 462 or 466. NGC Ch VF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 2/5. Adjusted Flan, Clipped, Bent.

RIC-605; Depeyrot-93/1. Obverse: Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield with horseman motif; Reverse: Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; star to right; Γ//CONOB. Though exhibiting more than its fair share of distractions, this interesting type nevertheless features an inverted officina mark, making the Γ appear as an L instead.
