52 mm. Uniface medallion modeled after the Houdon bust (but minus the toga) with the inscription FIRST IN WAR FIRST IN PEACE & FIRST IN THE HEARTS OF HIS COUNTRYMEN around. Signed F. Goll below the bust. The reverse is blank, except for some file marks. Civil Was era photograph cases in an early thermoplastic composition are known bearing this same portrait and inscription. It is possible that this piece has been removed from such a case.
