21 mm. With all major design elements boldly defined and the surfaces pleasingly smooth in hand, this is an exceptionally attractive piece for having seen considerable circulation. A few glints of rose-russet patina are noted for otherwise silver-gray surfaces. Although this variety is listed as unique (Rarity-10) in the 2014 edition of the Schenkman reference on sutler tokens, the present token is distinct from the plate token in that book. This sutler is still rare for all issues, of course, the 25 cents the only denomination confirmed in nickel.
