By A. Gerbier. 1) Gilt Copper Medal. CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE, bright yellow-bronze surfaces, though a rim bruise is noted. Vives-416. 2) White Metal Medal. VERY FINE, some scattered light scuffs and marks. Vives-416 var. (metal). These pieces deal with the brief war between Spain and Morocco in 1859-60 over disputed borders of a Cueta, a Spanish city on the northwest coast of Morocco. Though a part of mainland Morocco and Africa in general, it remains a part of Spain.
