Description

MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1768-Mo MF. Mexico City Mint. Charles III. PCGS Genuine--Rim Damage, EF Details Gold Shield.
KM-105; FC-47a; El-69; Gil-M-8-48d. The VERY RARE variety with a dot between "7" and "6" of the date. Gilboy notes that this variety appears to have originally exhibited a colon in which the lower dot is mostly worn away. Coin is decently struck and endowed with even, dark gray toning that has obscured the light circulation marks in the fields. The rim damage is noted only on the field side, and does little to diminish the overall look.
From the BKingdom Collection.
Estimate: $400.00- $600.00
