Obverse: Mary and Frederick standing facing one another, clasping hands over lighted altar between them; Reverse: Two garnished coats-of-arms; legend in eight lines below. A rather lustrous and well struck example of this RARE (in gold) marriage issue, the present piece offers alluring brilliance and highly pleasing surfaces. Only a few light marks prevent an even higher Mint State designation.
