Description

FRANCE. Ecu, 1716-S. Reims Mint. Louis XV. PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield.
KM-414.18; Dav-1326; Gad-317. Struck over a 1710-H Ecu of Louis XIV (Gad-229). A lustrous and highly attractive survivor exhibiting a bold strike leaving only minor traces of the original host coin. The designs are accentuated by lovely dove gray tone in the open fields and tops of the devices while the peripherals display a plethora of iridescent hues that pop out when tilted in the light lending to its originality. A breathtaking example sure to catch the attention of discerning collectors.
