Easily the finest we've seen of this date, with a far better strike than most and surfaces that convey absolute originality, with strong semi-reflective luster in the fields that is complimented by bright golden tone. An absence of marks helps to confirm the quality, and in fact suggests an even loftier grade. The impressively bold overdate only serves to add to this coin's abundance of character. Not surprisingly, the single finest graded example of the date (and variety) at NGC or PCGS, which if nothing else, should serve as an final indication of its special quality.
