Obverse: D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVG, diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield; Reverse: VICTORIA AVGGG, Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; star to left; A//COMOB. Struck from well produced dies closely imitating the official Byzantine type, this lustrous example exhibits little evidence of handling, though some scattered light marks and deposits in the fields are noted, as well as some minor crimping to the flan.
