Curiously bright with a touch of glossiness and wispy hairlines, yet no sizeable marks. From a mintage of 97 examples in silver (including three presentation medals), struck by Medallic Art Co. and underwritten by J. Sanford Saltus for the American Numismatic Association. This medal was proposed by J. Sanford Saltus and commemorates the flight of the Belgian king and queen over the English Channel in 1918 to celebrate the silver wedding anniversary of King George V and Queen Mary of England.
