An Attractively Toned Example of this Rare Pattern Issue Surpassed in Quality by Just One Example at PCGS
CHINA. Silver 10 Cents (1/10 Dollar) Pattern, ND (1910). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-63+ Gold Shield.
L&M-27; K-222; WS-0039. Variety with wide rims, short denticles and large outer Chinese and Manchu characters. A VERY RARE and enticing pattern issue, this piece presents tremendous iridescent toning and rather vibrant luster. Compare to a similar specimen, a PCGS MS-62, which realized a hammer of $13,000 in our August 2017 Hong Kong auction (lot # 60087). Quality that is difficult to exceed, just one has been graded finer by PCGS.
From the MBMY Collection.
Estimate: $10000.00- $20000.00

On September 1, 2019, the United States enacted new tariffs on collector's items manufactured in China.
