1) Gold 10 Yuan Pattern, 1989. Dragon & Phoenix Design Concept. PROOF--Damaged. KM-Unlisted. 2) 10 Yuan, 1990. Dragon & Phoenix. PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. KM-317. An amazing RARITY, struck the year prior to the official start of the Dragon & Phoenix Series, with the only significant design difference between the pattern and the collector issue being the 1989 date. Perhaps set in jewelry bezel at on time, this coin now holds a few blunt scratches on the Great Wall side which mostly concentrate at the edges. For comparison sake, a 1990-dated example of the collector issue is included in this lot as well.
