IONIA, Ephesos. C. Claudius Ap.f. Pulcher. Proconsul, 55-53 BC. AR Tetradrachm. Cistophoric standard. Sopatros, magistrate. Dated CY 80 (55/4 BC). Obv: Cista mystica within ivy wreath Rev: Bow case between two serpents; [C] PVLCHRI AP [F]/PRO COS in two lines above; to left, Π (date), EΦE, and figure of Nemesis advancing left; torch to right, ΣΩΠATPOΣ below Condition: Good very fine. (Very Rare)
