g Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign, 1900-S, Sydney mint, crowned, veiled bust left, T.B. initials below truncation for engraver Thomas Brock, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA· DEI· GRA· BRITT· REGINA· FID· DEF· IND· IMP·, with 134 denticle obverse where upright of D in DEF and I of IND point to a gap between the border teeth, rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, with mint letter S at centre of groundline above 90 (Hill 504C R2; Bull EGC 1655 R2; cf.QM 285; S.3881). Toned, has been slabbed and graded by PCGS as AU58 and rare.PCGS Certification 113105.58/42267662.
Calendar year mintage 130,000.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India."
