g Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign, 1900-M, Melbourne mint, crowned, veiled bust left, T.B. initials below truncation for engraver Thomas Brock, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA· DEI· GRA· BRITT· REGINA· FID· DEF· IND· IMP·, rev. St George and dragon right, date in exergue, with mint letter M at centre of groundline above 90 (Hill 500A R2; Bull EGC 1814 R2; QM 286; S.3879). Toned, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as AU53 and very rare.NGC Certification 8368654-015.
Calendar year mintage 112,920.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India."
