George IV (1910-36), silver Sixpence, 1826, bare head left, B.M. initials on truncation for engraver Bertram Mackennal, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX, rev. lion standing left on crown, date either side, linear circle around with Latin legend in upper half, FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, denomination SIXPENCE in lower half, edge milled, 2.84g (Bull 2411; Davies 232; ESC 1258; S.3814). Graded CGS, UNC 88. CGS UK Certification 20278-SP.G4.1826.04
NOTE: The labelling on the slab suggests the coin is detailed as proof, but on inspection of the surfaces, we disagree.
