PENSE., edge milled, 7.98g (Bentley 942 ; Bull EGC 906 R2 ; Marsh 4 ; S.3785C). Once cleaned with surface marks, wear to higher points, otherwise good fine. Calendar year mintage 931,994 though it is known that 1820 dated Sovereigns were struck into the year 1821 and Marsh estimated that as many as 1,170,000 of the 1821 calendar mintages could well have been 1820-dated coins.
