New Zealand, George VI (1936-52), silver Shilling, 1942, bust of George VI left, initials HP below truncation for engraver Thomas Humphrey Paget, legend surrounding both sides, GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR, rev. crouched Maori warrior with spear left, initials KG above groundline for engraver George Kruger Gray, denomination and date below, NEW ZEALAND ONE SHILLING., edge milled (KM.9). Lightly toned, reverse better, graded by NGC as MS64, only one finer at NGC.

We note as of August 2024 that NGC have slabbed and graded 78x examples, of which only the 1x is finer. PCGS have slabbed and graded 46x pieces, of which only 4x are finer.
