Description

British West Africa, Edward VIII (1936), cupro-nickel Penny, 1936-H, Heaton mint, with a British East Africa Ten Cents obverse mule, central hole with crown above dividing Latin legend EDWARDVUS VIII REX ET IND: IMP:, denomination TEN CENTS across two lines with mint letter H below, rev. hexagram centre with inscription BRITISH WEST AFRICA above, date below, edge plain (KM 17). Toned with signs of stain removal on the obverse, graded by NGC as XF Details (Environmental Damage), nonetheless a rare variety.

NGC Certification 6673057-013

The Latin legend translates as “Edward the Eighth, King and Emperor of India.”
