De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right, mint letter M on groundline, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, 3.97g (Marsh 514 R; S.3975). Toned with circulation wear, about fine and rare.

Calendar year mintage 82,000.

The Latin legend translates as “Edward the Seventh by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith.”
