g Edward VII (1901-1910), gold Half Sovereign, 1910, bare head right, De S below truncation for designer George W. De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII D: G: BRITT: OMN: REX F: D: IND: IMP:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, 3.98g (Marsh 513; S.3974B). Toned with light circulation wear, a large scratch diagonally across obverse portrait, otherwise with good residual lustre, almost extremely fine.

Calendar year mintage 5,023,881.

The Latin legend translates as “Edward the Seventh by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith.”
