Description

Elizabeth II (1952-2022), cupro-nickel Crown of Twenty Five Pence, 1977, Silver Jubilee issue, equestrian effigy of Queen Elizabeth II left within a beaded circle, Latin legend and outer border surrounding, ELIZABETH. II DG. REG FD, date 1977 below centre between floral sprigs, rev. Ampulla bird with spread wings above coronation anointing spoon centre, encircled by floral border with crown above, edge milled, 28.28g (S.LL2). An unusually severe partial collar mint error, no outer border on reverse with an off centre obverse, graded by NGC as MINT ERROR MS63 (Partial Collar), the only known graded example.

NGC Certification 6671814-001

The Latin legend translates as “Elizabeth the Second by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith”.
