Description

Victoria (1837-1901), silver Crown, 1889, Jubilee bust left, J.E.B. on truncation for engraver Joseph Edgar Boehm, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right, broken lance to left on groundline, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right for designer Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled, 28.26g (Bull 2589; ESC 299; S.3921). Evenly dappled toning, wear to higher points, slight die flaw on cheek, graded by NGC as MS62.

NGC Certification 6674852-003

Calendar year mintage 1,807,200.

The Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
