Henry VII (1485-1509), silver Groat, regular Profile Issue, crowned bust in profile right, treble band to crown, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, initial mark crosslet (1504-05) both sides, +hEnRIC'x VII'x DI'x GRA'x REXx AGL'x Zx F', rev. long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, +POSVI DEV'x A DIVTOR E'x MEV', 2.80g (N.1747; S.2258). Twice creased and straightened, toned with some surface marks, good fine, Henry VIII (1509-47), silver Groat, first coinage (1509-26), crowned profile of his Father right, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, initial mark portcullis, hEnRIC’x VIII’x DIx GRA’x REXx AGL’x Zx FR’ rev. long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, POSVI DEV’xx A DIVTOR E’ xx mEV, 2.74g (N.1762; S.2316). Unevenly toned with some stains, weak in parts a bold fine (2).
