PF67 | George VI 1937 silver proof English Shilling

George VI (1936-52), silver proof Shilling, 1937, Coronation issue, English reverse, bare head left, HP below truncation for engraver T. Humphrey Paget, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX, rev. struck en Medaille, lion standing left on imperial crown, crown with ermine interior, date either side, K and G either side at top of lion tail for engraver Kruger Gray, denomination below, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .*.FID. DEF IND. IMP.*., edge milled (Bull 4121; ESC 1451; S.4082). Practically as struck, graded by NGC as PF67, the second highest graded example across both NGC and PCGS.

NGC Certification 6320505-008

Calendar year mintage 25,000.

The Latin legend translates as "George the Sixth by the grace of God, King of all the Britons," on the obverse, following on the reverse with "Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
