PF69 UCAM | Elizabeth II (1952-), gold proof Five Pounds, 2001, designed by Mary Milner-Dickens to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the death of Queen Victoria in 1901, crowned head right, IRB initials for designer Ian Rank-Broadley, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding ELIZABETH. II. D. G REG. F. D. 2001, rev. a depiction of the Crystal Palace, the denomination 5 POUNDS lower left, stylised railway lines in the shape of a V incorporating the famous ‘Penny Black’ stamp portrait of Queen Victoria, remnants of the words ONE PENNY below, anniversary dates of 1901 and 2001 above, 39.94g (S.L9). Proof as struck, graded by NGC as PF69 ULTRA CAMEO.

NGC Certification 6380666-001.

Calendar Year Mintage 2,098.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as “Elizabeth the Second by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith”.
