PL63 | George VI (1936-1952), cupro-nickel Crowns (3), 1951, Festival of Britain, bare head left, Latin legend surrounding, GEORGIVS VI D: G: BR: OMN: REX F: D:, denomination FIVE SHILLINGS below portrait, rev. St. George and the dragon design, date and initials B. P. in truncation for designer Benedetto Pistrucci (S.4111). All struck with proof-like finish, some toning and minor surface marks throughout, graded by NGC as PL63, one coin with some intriguing striking defects.

NGC Certifications 6382576-001/3/4.

Calendar Year Mintage 2,003,540.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as "George the Sixth, by the grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
