Henry VIII (1509-47), silver Groat, second coinage (1526-44), Tower mint, initial mark arrow both sides, crowned bust in profile right, Laker bust D, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding both sides, initial mark lis, hEnRICx VIIIx D'x G'x R'x AGLx Zx FRAnCE, rev. long cross fourchée over quartered shield of arms, saltires in forks, initial mark rose, POSVI DEV'x A DIVTOR E'x MEV', weight 2.72g (N.1797; S.2337E). Pleasingly toned, some roughness to peripheries, otherwise very fine or better with a superb portrait.
