Anastasius I (AD 491-518), gold Solidus, Constantinople, officina Є, D N ANASTA-SIVS P P AVG, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing, slightly inclined to right, holding spear and shield, rev. VICTORI-A AVGGG Є, Victory standing left, holding a long staff surmounted by an inverted tau-rho, a star on left, CONOB in exergue, 4.35g, 6h (S 5; DO 7). In NGC holder graded Ch AU, Strike 5/5, Surface 2/5 “clipped, scratches, bent”.
