MS64 | Canada, George V (1910-36), gold Sovereign, 1917-C, Ottawa mint, bare head left, B.M. on truncation, GEORGIVS V D.G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:, rev. St. George slaying dragon with sword, WWP under lance, mint letter C on ground-line, date in exergue, B.P. to upper right of exergue (Bentley 888; Marsh 225; S.3997). Lightly toned, has been graded by PCGS as MS64.

PCGS Certification 71196460.

Calendar year mintage 58,845.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fifth by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India."
