UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, heraldic eagle with head turned left holding olive branch and arrows in talons, banner inscribed E PLURIBUS UNUM above, value below, 8.74g (KM-38; Bass/Danreuther-2). A pleasing early Half Eagle, sharply-struck with subdued mint lustre, some faint scratches but no wear or excessive handling, graded by NGC as MS60.
