Description

Victoria (1837-1901), 12-piece gold and silver currency coin Set, 1887, Golden Jubilee year, in contemporary fitted case, gold Five Pounds, Two Pounds, Sovereign, Half Sovereign, silver Crown, Double-Florin Arabic 1, Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence withdrawn type, regular issue Sixpence, Threepence, all on purple pad and silk lid inlay, black exterior leather case (S.3864, 3865, 3866, 3869, 3921, 3923, 3924, 3925, 3926, 3928, 3929, 3931). The gold Five Pounds previously cleaned, some coins with hairlines and bagmarks, otherwise generally extremely fine, the silver with appealing tone, the Sovereign and Half Sovereign exceptionally high grade with full lustre.
