St. George and dragon right, small break in lower strand of streamer from helmet, taller date in exergue, larger B.P to upper right of exergue, 15.99g (Schneider 654; S.3865). Minor scratches define the grade, scattered bagmarks on the obverse yet with an unusually clear reverse, graded by NGC as MS62.

The 1887 gold Two Pounds was only the second currency piece ever produced, with the previous being that dated 1823 in the reign of George IV; and was minted to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Victoria's reign.
