MESOPOTAMIA. Edessa. Gordian III, 238-244. Ae (bronze, 17.39 g, 27 mm). ΑΥΤΟΚ Κ Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟϹ ϹƐΒ Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. ΜΗΤΡ ΚΟΛ ΚΑΡΡΗΝωΝ Draped, veiled and turreted bust of Tyche left, with crescent above her; in front, Marsyas standing right, carrying wine-skin over shoulder, on short column. RPC 3438. Nearly very fine.
