Description
SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, 281-261 BC. Tetradrachm (silver, 14.86 g, 27 mm), Seleucia on the Tigris. Diademed head right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOY Apollo, nude but for drapery around waist, testing arrow in extended right hand, and placing left hand on grounded bow, seated left on omphalos; monograms to outer left and outer right. SC 379. Very fine.
