Description
PHOENICIA. Marathos. 175/4-170/69 BC. Ae (bronze, 8.80 g, 20 mm). Laureate and draped bust of Ptolemy VI as Hermes right, with kerykeion over shoulder. Rev. Marathos standing slightly left, holding aphlaston; date in Phoenician to left. HGC 10, 194; DCA 832. Spots of corrosion on reverse, nearly very fine.
