Anonymous, time of Michael IV the Paphlagonian, 1034-1041. Ae (bronze, 9.42 g, 30 mm), Constantinople. + EMMANOVHΛ IC-XC Half-length figure of Christ standing facing, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium and colobium and raising right hand in benediction; in left hand, book of gospels. Rev. IC-XC NI-KA, jewelled cross, with pellet at each extremity. SB 1825. Very fine.
