Description
SASANIAN KINGS. Kavadh I, second reign, 499-531. Pashiz (bronze, 0.81 g, 17 mm). Draped bust of Kavadh I to right, wearing a mural crown with a frontal crescent and korymbos set on a crescent; star to left, all within a beaded circle. Rev. Fire altar, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent. Nearly very fine.
