SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Alexander I Balas, 152-145 BC. Ae (bronze, 2.88 g, 16 mm), Antioch on the Orontes. Head of young Dionysus right, wreathed with ivy. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY Elephant standing left, monogram to right. HGC 9, 919; SC 1791. Nearly very fine.
