Description
SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Demetrios I, Soter 162-150 BC. Ae serrate (bronze, 2.65 g, 14 mm), Antioch on the Orontes. Draped bust of Artemis right, wearing stephane, bow and quiver over shoulder. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔHMHTPIOY Apollo standing left, testing arrow and resting left hand on grounded bow. SC 1647; HGC 9, 852. Nearly very fine.
