SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos IV Epiphanes, 175-164 BC. Ae (bronze, 8.06 g, 18 mm), Quasi-municipal issue, Apameia on the Axios. Diademed head of Antiochos IV to right. Rev. AΠΑΜΕΩΝ ΤΩΝ ΠΡΟΣ ΤΩΙ ΑΞΙΩΙ Zeus enthroned left, holding Nike in right hand and scepter in left; below throne, monogram. HGC 9, 658; SC 1427. Nearly very fine.
