Description

SASANIAN KINGS. Husrav (Khosrau) II, 591-628. Fals (bronze, 10.96 g, 28 mm), imitating a Byzantine follis of Heraclius with Heraclius Constantine from Theoupolis (Antioch), struck during the Sasanian occupation of Syria 610-629. Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine standing facing, each holding globus cruciger; cross above. Rev. Large M; A/N/N - X/II across field, cross above, A below; THEUPo in exergue. Nearly very fine. Rare.
