SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. (bronze, 2.60 g, 14 mm), unattributed mint. Radiate and diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ Cicada; to left, monogram (?). HGC 9, 1225; SC 2343. Very fine. Of the highest rarity (only 1 example cited by HGC and SC, sold by Nomos, Obolos 24, lot 417 for 2600 CHF!).
