Description
Alexius I Comnenus, 1081-1118. Tetarteron (bronze, 2.27 g, 21 mm). Half-length imperial bust facing, wearing loros, holding cruciform scepter in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left. Rev. Jeweled coss with X at center; in angles, C-Φ / M-Δ. DOC 40a. SB 1931. Very fine.
